FAQS
WHAT SIZE OF VAN WILL I GET?
We will send the correct vehicle onto your move to complete your move in one trip . All of our moving vehicles are equipped with premium removals blankets, sofa covers, mattress covers, tv covers, floor coverings.
HOW LONG WILL MY REMOVAL TAKE?
Most local moves take between two and four hours (excluding key waiting time), but every job is different. There are several factors that affect the time it takes to complete a removal. Access tends to be the biggest factor to slow a removal down. The more prepared you are the quicker the job will take.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN THINGS I NEED TO DO IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR ARRIVAL?
Fridges need emptying and defrosting, washing machines should be taken out, triple wardrobes and tables need taking down, all walkways and doors need to be clear and there needs to be two car parking spaces to accommodate our van. Take a look at our House moving tips section for more information.
WILL YOU REMOVE RUBBISH?
No. We do not have a waste disposal licence and as such do not offer a waste removal service.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY REMOVAL?
We accept cash or card payments on the day of the move.
Please note, we do require a £150 deposit to book you in for your moving date. This is non- refundable and non-transferable.
See terms and conditions for further details.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU REQUIRE FOR A HOUSE REMOVAL?
Household Removals are usually booked between 1-2 weeks before the expected move takes place. Please always try to give as much notice as possible. We cannot usually accommodate last minute bookings but we'll try when possible. Do not fully book your removal until you are sure everything is in place with the sale and purchase of your house.
DO I HAVE TO EMPTY MY DRAWERS?
As long as there are no heavy or breakable items left in drawers then it is usually ok to leave them full. Some types of furniture like self assembly units don’t travel well and it is advised that you empty these completely and dismantle them. As long as the furniture itself is sturdy then items like clothing and bedding can and should be left in.
DO YOU CHARGE WAITING TIME?
Once your items have been loaded, we charge £40 per hour after 1pm until the keys are released. Alternatively, we offer a key waiver charge of £50 - this will avoid any additional charges.
DO YOU SELL BOXES?
Yes! We also have a range of additional packaging (wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap, fragile tape, etc.) available to buy.
